GENERAL GUIDELINES

The editorial board of LawsWithRachna invites submissions in keeping with the following guidelines:

  1. Submissions shall be accepted on a rolling basis from students, legal professionals, teachers, researchers, policymakers, senior academicians, and any member of the legal and humanities fraternity.
  2. Co-authorship is not allowed
  3. The submission should be original, exclusive, and unpublished, and should not be under review by any similar platform. Non-adherence to this rule shall result in a rejection of the submission, irrespective of its quality.
  4. The submission should reflect the original and unpublished work of the author(s). The Blog, however, permits a maximum similarity index of 15% and in no case a submission shall exceed this limit.
  5. Submissions may be in the form of articles, or in any other form or manner that the Editorial Board deems appropriate.
  6. Upon acceptance of the submission by the Board, the copyright over the content is vested with the Blog.
  7. Cross-publication shall not be allowed in any case.
  8. Any content that is related to Contracts, Contract Negotiation, Sports Laws, E-Sports Laws, Gaming Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, Technology & Privacy Laws, Arbitration or Mediation is eligible for submission to the Blog.

CONTENT & FORMATTING GUIDELINES

  1. The word limit for every submission must ideally be limited to 1500-2000 words, except in cases where the Editorial Board deems otherwise. Longer pieces may be published in installments in consultation with the contributors.
  2. The title of the post must be formatted to Times New Roman, Size 14, 1.5 Line Spacing, in All Caps and in Bold.
  3. The main body of the submission must be formatted to Times New Roman, Size 12, and with 1.5 Line Spacing and single line space between paragraphs.
  4. All references must be in the form of hyperlinks in the body of the submissions. In case a hyperlink is not available for reference, Endnotes in Times New Roman, Size 10 with 1 Line Spacing may be used, and such Endnotes must follow the Uniform Bluebook 20th Edition Citation Style.
  5. The submission must be uploaded in as a Word document (.doc/.docx). The name of the document must be the same as the title of the submission.
  6. The last page of submission document shall contain the following information about the author:
    • Full Name of the Author
    • Chosen Theme
    • Title of the Blog
    • Name and Address of College/Institute/University
    • Programme Enrolled & Current Year of Study
    • Email Address & Contact Number of the Author
    • A brief bio of the Author in 5-6 lines

TIMELINE FOR REVIEW

The Editorial Board shall try responding to the authors with an acceptance/rejection/acceptance subject to the modification within 15 days from the date of receipt of submission.

MISCELLANEOUS

  1. By submitting the blog, the author agree to indemnify the organization against all claims, suits, and damages based on allegations of copyright infringement, plagiarism, or unauthorized use. Any proven copyright infringement/plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.
  2. The organization retains the right to recall the publication e-certificate if it is later discovered that the submission suffered from copyright infringement/plagiarism.
  3. The submission shall be considered the property of LawsWithRachna, which reserves the right to publish it as deemed appropriate.
  4. The administration of the blog publication, including determining the eligibility of author or submissions, evaluation of submissions, and awarding of prizes, is within the sole and absolute discretion of the organization.
  5. In situations not explicitly covered by the rules, the organization’s decision shall be final and binding.
